Our Porsche-trained Technicians are currently restoring a Porsche 356 Pre A back to its former glory.
The car has not been worked on for over 10 years and, as a result, one of the barrels had ceased. Our team has completed a complete strip down of the engine and are currently in the process of overhauling the whole engine. This 356 has also experienced wiring problems due to over 65 years of natural oxidization which has caused resistance in the wiring.
Andrew Wexham, Classic Technician, said: ‘’It’s a unique opportunity to work on an early luxury sports car; one that was to set a standard for years to come. This beautiful piece of imagineering was once owned by the legendary racing driving Betty Haig and I am looking forward to completing the restoration.’’
Please contact our Aftersales team for details on how we can help restore your Classic Porsche to its original condition.

Porsche Centre Leeds has available this 928 S4.
The 928 we have available today was first registered on 7 January 1987 and has been fully restored by our team of Classic Technicians here at Porsche Centre Leeds in association with our Porsche Approved body shop.
Removing all interior trim including dashboard and seats carpets, we compartmentalised what we could restore and what we needed to replace. Every inch of the interior has been refreshed with a new lease of life. The engine was put through vigorous tests on arrival to determine its health after 91,000 miles on the road, including compression and cylinder leakage tests. The tests, as expected, gave incredible readings and showed very little variance to the original Porsche specification. However, due to our award-winning mechanical process, we decided to disassemble the full engine and set out to rebuild it. Each component of the engine was professionally cleaned to practically new condition. The engine was rebuilt and resealed using a complete supply of Porsche Genuine Parts.

Regardless of mileage, you should change the engine oil of your classic Porsche once a year as short trips are particularly detrimental to the oil. Frequently starting the engine when it is cold causes more fuel, combustion products and moisture to get into the oil.
Porsche Classic Motoroil has been specially designed by Porsche to suit the specific characteristics and demands of an air-cooled flat engine to ensure optimal performance.Discover more
